#3 Bonechiller

This was essentially an everything but the kitchen sink brew. I had several cans of WCPA and wanted to make a brew. This is supposed to be around 7.4% by volume. Huge.

Recipe
2 West Coast Pale Ale
1 Booster Pack
1 Cup honey
1/2 Cup brown sugar
2 yeast packets (mr beer yeast)

Heated the water to a boil, while heating added the booster. Honey and brown sugar was added at boil. Removed from heat and added WCPA last.

This was bottled on 2/01/09. The trub bottle was cracked at 2/14/09 and it was not ready. It needs a lot of conditioning time. Tested again on 3/09/09. A little cidery, hopefully that clears with more time. Another 3-4 weeks before trying again. Popped another bottle on 4/21/09. This beer still has a very slight cidery taste in my mouth, but it is overall very good. I would call this beer a success.

*notes* Had troubles keeping a constant temp during fermentation, may have ruined the beer. If so, not a big loss.
