#4 House Wheat

This was brewed on 1/21/09. This recipe was created with a blue moon type beer in mind. This was the first time dried malt extract was used at Bonesaw.

Recipe
1 Whispering Wheat HME
1lb Munton's Wheat DME
1 Grated Orange Rind
1/2 Cup Honey
Munton's Yeast

Water was brought to a boil and honey was added. The DME was added and the water was kept rolling for 5 mins around 150-160F. The wort was then removed from heat and the Whispering Wheat was added. The yeast was hydrated per instructions on yeast packet.

This was bottled on 2/08/09. The trub bottle was cracked on 2/23/09. It was delicious, very drinkable. It was a struggle to not consume this beer before it had conditioned fully. This beer will be a regular at Bonesaw.
